Imagine Drakons Oct 1, 2013 23:02:01 GMT -6

Ade drove her dagger through a Lasher's carapace. It let loose an ever-satisfying crack as its ensuing frenzy curtained.
She was quite relieved to see her pursuers fall one by one, gunshots illuminating the air.
Maybe they could get through this without too much effort.
A roar harmonized the chaos.
Time seemed to come to a halt, the universe making no attempt to mask its cruel irony. Or perhaps it had targeted her? Maybe it just liked to prove the egotistical girl wrong? Nevertheless, Ade was all but amused by the change of course.
Enlarged reptiles spilled from the depths of the forest, hissing at the Shadowseeker's feeble attempt at "reconnaissance". Their scorpion-like barbs swayed high above their heads, poised to strike at any minuscule movement.
Ade had never encountered the beasts so close to the academy. They typically dwelled within the heart of the Mistlands, only revealing their mutinous glowers while she played Heartseeker.
No. They shouldn't be here. Something was definitely wrong.
She hastily flung herself away from the nearest lizard, narrowly dodging the assault. Its tail remained lodged in the ground—dislocated from the wailing Drakon.
"Ade! We're going to need explosives to get through this crowd!"
She didn't hesitate to answer. "Yep! Yep! Sounds like a plan!" Her voice was on the brink of hysteria, desperately weaving through the flailing barbs and snapping jaws. She sunk her teeth into her lip when a Drakon inevitably scathed her shoulder.
Yeah. Explosives sounded good.
"Into there! I'll see if I can't whip up a few Molotov cocktails."
Now didn't seem like the most opportune time for a beverage.
She did, however, take interest in the vacant structure he was gesturing towards.
Her axes tightened, her hands a noose.
She tumbled into the depot within a matter of seconds, obviously having plowed her way through the vicious cluster. She couldn't pinpoint the precise location of her wounds, but she was aware that they existed.
"Let's make cocktails."
