Vincentia followed behind more slowly, timidly. She couldn't deny that the darker side of her was fighting for control. But no, to remain as she was would be most efficient. Thus, she would remain that way.
She so desperately wanted to reveal herself, see their personality unfold before her like the blossoming bloom of a lotus, but now was not the time or place. Or person to kill, honestly. She'd gotten a very thorough lecture from Principle Varana about not killing anyone. The Headmaster had simply stared at her for a moment and requested to know whether or not she liked walls. She'd replied with the affirmative, and he'd immediately been convinced that she was completely safe to harbor in the Academy.
All this morbid thinking had her slightly less focused on her outwards personality than she'd like. Readjusting herself mentally, she quietly came up to watch the exchange.
She was about to introduce herself when Aid beat her to it. An eyebrow raised in surprise, and a flicker of amusement passed through her. "Oh, you have? Well, yes. I'm Vincentia. It's a pleasure to meet you, Aid. You too, Mr. Equidae!"
Vin smiled at the girl, but it was transforming partially into a smirk. She looked around the room again, faking her nervousness once more. This facade was becoming tiresome. She needed some air. She needed to get on to Operation Nevermore already.
"Well, um. I guess we're all roommates? Oh, hey, what years of school are you guys in?" She smiled a little shyly. "We might as well get to know each other. Even you, Mr. Equidae, especially if you're going to be hanging out with Cate a lot. It'd be pretty cool to have a teacher to talk to!"
Facetiousness, all of it.
Stormcrescent wanted to come out and meet them. But could Stormcrescent come out and meet them? No. Would Stormcrescent get to taste blood today? No. I'm sorry Stormcrescent, Vincentia can't play today. She's got chores to do.
Vincentia's jaw imperceptibly tightened with a flash of annoyance.
That Aid girl had known her identity. Interesting. At least Cate pleaded ignorance, although that may or may not be true. Aid openly admitted it- and she seemed to be taken aback by Vincentia. She was blind... and yet... it seemed as if she were shielding her eyes...
Perhaps an Aura reader? That would be most interesting to room with, especially with Little Miss Mesmer over there and her big brother-
Ooh, goodness. Did that person have a cat embroidered on their shirt?
Vincentia's attention was immediately transferred elsewhere as she watched the embroidered cat lady go by, then turned back to the conversation at hand, laughing in a little awkward manner.
"Uhm... sorry about that. I don't suppose any of you would be interested in food or even just sitting down?"
