Description: Slightly shorter than his slightly older brother, Amadeus is constantly infuriated by the fact that he's 6'1" to his brother's 6'2". It's just another reminder that he's [barely] the little brother.
Amadeus has brown hair, and he's kept it its natural hue (unlike Aaron). It's constantly messy and has a tendency to stick up at a variety of angles. He never really does much with it, and although it's naturally straight, that doesn't mean that at any given point in time he's actually going to bother with it.
His dark brown eyes more or less match his hair, usually projecting a nonplussed expression. His left eye is split by a three-inch-long scar from one of the mishaps he and his brother involved themselves in as a child. His eyebrows are dark and perpetually furrowed into a frown.
His lips match this frown, often pulled downwards and grimacing.
Amadeus often wears comfortable shirts and shorts with many functional pockets held up by incredibly dysfunctional belts. Occasionally, he wraps bandages around his left arm- no one's sure why.
Personality: Amadeus is painfully aware of how much of a burden he and his brother are to their parents. He's always been mischievous, and that's his nature, but he's also slowly beginning to think that his nature makes him look like an immature imp to everyone around him. His brother's overprotectiveness he takes offensively, refusing to believe that he needs anyone to care for him. He seeks to push people away, to stand on his own.
Due to this, he's determined to prove his usefulness to Aaron. He will casually take the blame for Aaron's pranks and misbehaviours, often without any communication beforehand. Deep down, he loves his brother more than anything else, and would willingly give himself to protect Aaron.
He didn't have much of a childhood, and although his mischief is a way to make up for that, sometimes he wishes he could just give that up and quietly settle down and raise children in the way that he'd never been raised. If caught in a daydreaming mood, he can be oddly romantic and thoughtful about the subject of love and children. At the same time, he refuses to let his wife be chosen solely by his parents, as he view them as complete and total imbeciles.
In fact, he views most of humanity as complete and total imbeciles, and one of his pastimes is watching petty squabbles and expressing his distant, silent disapproval. He is also the master of facepalms; Amadeus can facepalm metaphorically.
He also has an uncanny obsession with lighting things on fire.
History: Growing up with a twin brother was difficult, of course. People were always mistaking one for the other, blaming Aaron for something Amadeus did, or vice versa. Oh, and when they were young, their mother always had the nanny dress them up in identical little suits so that she could proudly show off her two young twin boys to distract from the fact that her marriage to their father was a total failure. Mother had refused to have any more kids after giving birth to the twins, saying that she refused to let bratty little things ruin her once-perfect figure. The boys happened to know for a fact that their father was sleeping with at least two of the maids, anyway.
The Wren family were of high nobility, and had an outward appearance of the perfect family. That is, when the boys chose to behave. Usually, someone somewhere was getting themselves into trouble. However, it was common that their parents never even noticed, prefering to drink and gossip with other aristocrats rather than pay attention to their two young boys.
At the age of thirteen, the boys were sent off to the Academy to study whatever they wished, their parents not particularly caring as long as it was far away from the ninth petal. Amadeus compromised by going to the fourth and Aaron could finally relax and show his love for the seventh.
Other: Amadeus will often carry several switchblades and lighters on him, hidden in pockets and the bandages around his arm. He is a crack shot with pistols, and has some in a hidden compartment in his suitcase (similar to his brother), but he doesn't often carry those around with him.
