Ade maneuvered through the hallways, breezing past the flailing students as she moved towards the courtyard.
Anyone with even a tidbit of experience knew that the mistlings had the tendency to gravitate towards the open ranges on campus. The fact that it was slightly constricted only made it all the more fun.
Yeah, anybody seeking refuge here was thoroughly confused.
With her hands braced on the handle of her axes, she stepped through the towering arch and nonchalantly entered the courtyard. She caught the attention of three Lashers, whipping out her axes at the beautiful sight.
Three against one? Tut tut. No fair.
You can only tango with two.
She quickly chucked an axe at the Lasher who saw her first, it's four insect-like legs tapping the cobblestone path as it scuttled forward.
It fell with an axe planted neatly in it's cranium.
She then whizzed her axe to the mistling on the far right, taking off it's durable carapace as her axe cut cleanly through it's entire abdominal.
Ah, alone at last.
She pulled out her dual blades, the Lasher somewhat hesitant before lunging forward. She averted the jump with relative ease, darting to the side as it collapsed in the archway.
She brought her short sword forward, the Lasher scurrying towards her as she ducked, all four of its legs unhinged in one swift motion. It's scythes swiped at her wildly, immobile yet far more aggravated.
She placed her dagger in the center of it's chest, the crack of the shattered exoskeleton acting as music to her ears.
An acceptable practice.
Now she awaited the flood.
