Description:
With messy hair the color of smoke that goes just past his ears and a sweet, boyish face, Aidan is the opposite of intimidating. He looks at the world through big eyes that are a strange color of brown, looking almost orange in the light with sparks of gold coloring throughout his iris. Some have compared it the the colors of fire, but Aidan simply dismisses that with an adorable deep blush to grace his slightly-sharper-than-average cheekbones. Standing at a mere 5'8", Aidan is just below the normal height for his age group.
Aidan always, always, ALWAYS wears a pair of black gloves that are made out of a strange, fire-proof material. Most teachers would force him to take them off during class, but he has gotten special permission from the Headmaster himself to wear these.
Personality:
To put it simply: Aidan is a shy, accident prone geek who is absolutely obsessed with his trade. Within his forging classes, the particular forge he chooses practically becomes his child for that year. He coos at it and smiles at it, yells at anyone if they dare to lay a finger upon it... Everyone is very careful not to mention that other people use that forge during other class periods. They wouldn't want to endanger the poor sole.
But when it comes time to go outside of his classes, away from his forge and into the realm of living people? Aidan shrinks in on himself and becomes quiet. He has issues with talking to people who don't approach him first, especially those of the opposite gender.
History:
Being the youngest of three children, Aidan has been teased and taunted by his siblings his whole life. They've beat him up, held him down and spit on him.... I mean seriously, miner ladies are scary and strong! He was always very close to his sisters until the day his Father enrolled him in the Academy. They never attended the Academy due to the fact that their parents needed them to stay home to help generate income and keep their family eating. This never bothered them because they didn't want to go to school with a bunch of "snobby magic kids" anyhow. Their Father is a scholarly man who never, ever wanted this life for his kids. He wanted to attend the Academy himself, but he came from a poor family and needed to stay home and help them as they only child. He has a severe case of asthma and the mining dust always leaves him sickly and pale.
Aidan never would've attended the Academy, sharing a like-minded opinion as his sisters, if it weren't for the fact that one day, he accidentally set his mother's curtains on fire.
Other:
Aidan, like other children of the Third Petal, possesses a slight power over fire. Strangely enough, his power over it seems to be stronger than most, but he often loses control over it and accidentally lights things - and people - on fire at any given times, specifically when he is angry or... passionate. This is why he wears the gloves, protecting his hands, which would be chapped and burned at all times if he didn't.
